Starting in 2016, the Graduate Employees Union has formed partnerships with local businesses to help make GEU membership even better! Not only do we get the benefits of solidarity and a solid contract, but now we get discounts at various local businesses that stand with us in solidarity- our Solidarity Supporters.

How to take advantage of Solidarity Supporter discounts

  1. When you join as a member (and if you haven’t you can do so here: Join as a member), you can get your GEU keychain bottle-opener!
  2. You can also get your GEU keychain bottle opener from your steward or by going in  to the GEU office at 319 1/2 East Grand River Avenue.
  3. Show this keychain to the business when you are shopping to get the benefits of solidarity!
  4. A list of businesses with their Solidarity Supporter discount is below. If you would like to add more businesses please contact us to join the Solidarity Supporter committee.

 The Tin Can in East Lansing is conveniently located just downstairs from the GEU office. The bar/restaurant offers craft beers(often out of cans) and delicious snacks and meals!

Newly moved into East Lansing, we expect it will soon become a favorite spot for graduate students.
