GEU is pleased to once again be able to offer members optional vision coverage. As part of the Coalition of Labor Organizations (CLO) at MSU, GEU members, along with all other unionized employees at the University will benefit from group discounts for vision care through MEBS.
Open enrollment will begin August 2009 and go through September 30, 2009 with coverage effective November 1, 2009. This is a two year plan and payroll deduction is available.
There are two different vision plans available. The only difference between the two plans are the rates and the participating providers.

To enroll you need to register as a new user at http://onlinemebs.com.
- Click on the “REGISTER AS A NEW USER” button.
- User type: Employee
- When prompted use GROUP NUMBER: TMZ1080
- Complete Name, Date of Birth and Gender
- Select a user name and password to remember.
- Complete address, phone number and email.
- Select questions and answers for password resets. (This is for your security)
- Read Privacy Statement.
- Select “I Accept” to enroll.
- To view the rates, select “See Vision voluntary rates.” When finished reviewing the rates, X out to the back to the enrollment process.
- Read the Welcome Page.
- Corporate Code: TMZZ1080A
- Read and complete the required boxes. (Required fields are coded with blue diamonds).
- Select either NVA or Vision Care Direct Plan.
- Follow instructions, verify information and rates, then click submit. You will receive a confirmation of your enrollment via email.
